MI Board votes to limit cell phone use at library

The Start Of A Trend? The Loutit District Library Board unanimously approved a new policy
Tuesday that would limit cell phone use at the library.
There seems to be no shortage of Policies already, maybe I'm just out of the loop and this has been a trend for quite some time.

Judging from the various policies, it does look like a trend that's taking hold. And not a moment too soon, IMHO. Of course, rules like these just formalize what SHOULD be common sense and common courtesy ... but as we all know, these two traits are increasingly rare in the wild.At the library where I work, we have "please silence your cell phones" signs all over the place, but as far as I know there is no formal policy posted. This makes me think it would be a good idea to craft one.
