MINNEAPOLIS: Libraries shut doors for a week

Another sad tale, This One from Minneapolis where, starting Monday, all public libraries will close for a week in an effort to save money.

"Something like this hasn't happened in recent memory," said Public Library Director Kit Hadley. "But it has happened before — such as during the Great Depression."

It's pretty bad that they are closing the libraries for a WEEK to save some money ... but Blacktown (Australia) is closing their public library for a MONTH to accomodate extensions to the nearby shopping center.

How bad is that?
