Veteran lawmaker wins partial victory in ethics ca


The State Ethics Commission failed to prove that a
veteran state lawmaker, and a tireless advocate of the
Boston Public Library, returned favors from lobbyists
when given free golf and meals, the state\'s highest
court ruled today.\"

Public Library. He has a strong commitment to lifelong
learning and free access to technology and information,
very pillars on which the Boston Public Library stands.

Members of the Boston Public Library\'s Board of
Trustees are
appointed by the mayor to serve five-year
terms. Representative Scaccia will be the libraryUs
member since the board was established in 1852. He
will join
board chair Joseph E. Mullaney, vice chair Pamela
and board members William M. Bulger, V. Paul Deare,
Donna M. DePrisco, Berthe M. Gaines, David
McCullough, and
William O. Taylor.
