The Active Librarian | Issue Release

Submitted by Blake Carver (not verified) on Tue, 05/03/2016 - 15:00

Dearest readers on the Internet,

The Active Librarian has released its 2nd issue. We hope you'll take some time to peruse its contents.

Josh Sopiarz reports on a topic all librarians must at some point consider--veteran outreach. His comprehensive list of veteran-specific resources alone is worth the price of admission (well, if there were a price of admission). Forrest Foster and Carl Leak describe their experiences with organizing an open-mic event. And various contributors present a "primer" for purchasing and configuring 3D printing technology.

If only someone had written a manuscript COMBINING these topics...?

Anyhow, you can access the issue directly at
http://activelibrarians.com/index.php/tal/issue/view/2

Or indirectly on http://www.activelibrarians.com

The Active Librarian is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that collects transferable ideas for librarians. The journal's format and structure reflect this goal. I encourage you to consider submitting the good work that you do to us.

Thanks for reading,
