LISNEWS and fair use

LISNEWS use of articles falls very solidly on the side of fair use.

I am not a lawyer

I am not a lawyer and do not play one on TV. While it can be contended that LISNews is solidly on the side of fair use, it can be said that sometimes our excerpts are confusing. I have been left pondering what the excerpts mean when it is hard to tell what the poster wrote and what was in the excerpt. There are HTML tags for that and flipping the radio button under "Input Format" can allow such to be used.

So we should bold and strike out things to distinguish what we are posting?

Nah

I was thinking about BLOCKQUOTE tags. Drupal doesn't allow them in the standard input format so you have to flip the bit over to "Full HTML".
