Palm Beach County Library System set to lose $3 million

With yesterday's passage of a statewide $9.2 billion property tax cut amendment, the Palm Beach Post reports that the Palm Beach County Library System alone will lose $3 million dollars in funding. The amendment received the over 60% of voter approval to pass becoming the first time an amendment has passed the higher approval standard Florida adopted in 2006. Most homesteaded property owners will save $240 a year under the revised property tax structure.
