2007 Research Fund Award Program reaches out to developing economies
United Kingdom. December 3, 2007 – Emerald, the world’s leading publisher of management research, announces the winners of its 2007 Research Fund Awards. Targeted at researchers from developing economies, the awards seek to support and facilitate management research for the social good in China, India and Latin America.
Emerald will be gifting a total of £8,000 ($16,000) to management research scholars in 2007 to help fund projects that address the dissemination of knowledge with a specific orientation toward developing economies. Additional funds will also be made available for the development and support of LIS Research.
John Peters, CEO of Emerald said, “Emerald would like to thank all the judges involved with the awards this year; without their expertise, knowledge and experience this would not have been possible. We would also like to thank all those who applied for the awards. The judges on all three panels commented on the range of applications this year, along with the high quality of the research, particularly in the Chinese Management Research category. We are delighted with the impact the awards have made in India, Latin America and China, and we believe that all the winning research papers have great potential in benefiting the social good in these regions.
“We are particularly thankful to our award partners; The Association of Indian Management Schools - AIMS, and the Latin American Council of Management Schools - CLADEA, they help us fulfil our promise to actively promote and reward high-quality management research in Latin America and India.
