From a Richmond Times article entitled, Art and Politics Collide at Event: Artist Philosophical About Obama Camp's Call to Cover His Works:
Before the Illinois Senator (Obama) spoke Tuesday night at a Richmond art gallery to about 500 Democrats, an Obama advance woman asked the gallery to cover one painting deemed potentially offensive and to remove another.
Artist Jamie Boling said he first was offended by the censorship but now has mixed feelings. In today's political and cultural climate, the pictures could have been used against Obama, he said.
Just let it slide, he's a D.

not him
It said "staffer" not "the Senator."That's like saying I think there was a cold snap in my state after the Senator visited and I was outraged at the blatant Democratic hypocrisy about global warming.
Re:not him
Oh come on! That is a pretty lame excuse, he is responsible for his staffers.

Ah, no it isn't like saying that. Obama's staff said to remove or cover-up a piece of art because it was offensive. Now Obama might be deity to some, but neither he nor his staff can control the weather whereas they can and did dictate whether or not to cover up a piece of art (without the artist's permission) because they thought it was offensive.
I thought so
Scared of him? You don't have to admit it. I would be too if I was you.
I would have burned the them not covered them
One was a painting of Brittny Spears crotch with Paris Hilton in the background. The other was of a teen aged torso with a Kill Lincoln shirt.
I'm no art critic, but I think they were crap.
