A professor at the University of Kentucky seeks to ban the KKK from his campus by arguing that it is a terrorist organization.
Yes, I am quite aware that these folks, the KKK, will probably defeat any legal challenge that seeks to remove their right to model their January white sale line at the U of K. What I find interesting here is the use of terrorism as a legal means to skirt First Amendment privileges to the Klan. I would be interested if Patriot Act detractors have any thoughts about this tack for putting the kibosh on baiting bigots. For my library colleagues, what about restricting these folks from your own library meeting rooms? (The public library where I serve as a board member just went through something very similar.)
