Appeal keeps book out of FL school library

After much debate, a committee at Brookwood High decided that the book "Sandpiper" by Ellen Wittinger should be put back on the school's library shelves, but that decision is on hold because it is being appealed to the Tuscaloosa County school board.

From the article ..." ... the novel takes a bold stance on sexual relationships and carries the overall theme that oral sex is the same as sex and has consequences."Ms. Pennington, I think you'll find that these trees also comprise a nice little forest.
