Up North in Yellowknife: Library Security An Issue According to Some

The Yellowknife Public Library (Northwest Territories), is having a dispute over security issues. One city councillor wants to add security, but Yellowknife public library manager Deborah Bruser says "We are already very well-served in the security area." Both want a new library, which won't be built for at least ten years. Report from the Northern News Service.

Deborah is a nice person, but out to lunch on this issue. Last month I made the mistake of taking my kids to library at night (7:00 pm) - it was awful. Drunks sqealing and staggering, a stoned guy leaning over me at a study carrel - I will never go back after supper - it's too dangerous.
