New Book: Casanova was a Librarian

Ruth Kneale writes "A new book has recently been published on image and librarians — called "Casanova was a Librarian", it touches on the "lighthearted, humorous, sexy and intriguing side of librarians." Check it out at"

To be honest, he ended up a librarian. Most of his escapades -- at least the ones recorded in his 6 volume 'Histoire de Ma Vie' are from his pre-library days.Naturally it makes perfect sense for cultured individuals like Casanova who've been through (shall we say) exciting experiences, to choose librarianship as a profession. I've often lamented that he didn't write a supplement.
