Who Will Raise the Next Generation of Library Lovers?

Jeri Zeder, now a middle-aged board member of the Cary (Lexington MA) Library remembers the time when she had her first after-school job shelving books at Andover Memorial Hall Library. She reflects back on the pleasures of the job and wonders how in this cash-strapped job-slashing era, who will be around to teach the next generation to explore and to enjoy libraries.

Our latest money grab will hit up our tax payers for $800,000. Women and children hurt most, as the liberal press would say. (Helps keep the poor out of the community, I suppose.)
