In Colorado Springs, The Library Is A Place for Everyone

Some of the patrons of the Pikes Peak Library System are homeless, others are rolling in dough.

Here's a little story from about homeless patrons at the downtown branch of the Colorado Springs Penrose Library. These are regulars who hang out every day and usually stake out tables and chairs on the building's west side, which offers sweeping views of Pikes Peak.

"We could have as much trouble with an Avon Lady," said Sydne Dean, associate director of public services for the Pikes Peak Library District...

I have no problem with the library being just as open to the homeless as to everyone else; however, the above statement is nonsense. Period.
