Writers threaten to boycott school reading scheme

News From Scotland where Senior Scottish writers are threatening to pull out of a literature outreach programme that sends authors into schools and other institutions unless their fees are raised.
The Scottish Book Trust (SBT), the body that runs the scheme, has received complaints about the &100 payment for a half-day session, unchanged in seven years, from individual writers and from the Society of Authors.
