Librarians choose Mockingbird over Bible

Number one on the list is Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, edging out The Bible and Tolkein's Lord of the Rings trilogy. A complete story and the full list can be found here."


...and I wouldn't tell anybody to just 'read it'. Its too complicated a work for that.

I was surprised when I saw this story that an American novel would top a UK list, not that I disagree with the choice.
