PA Libraries, schools to receive more funding

How 'bout some Good News From PA for a change? The state House and Senate passed a 2005-06 budget Thursday with funding restored for medical assistance, improved funding for local school districts and libraries, and additional money for a business loan fund. While the library is regaining ground, Fusco said the state will need to increase the percentage of the fund by nearly 15 percent, and even that wouldn't put the library back to its 2002-03 budget.

Mind you, I could not find one word about library funding via the Philadelphia Inquirer's site. They devoted their entire story to Medicaid funding, which is important, but I am glad I had LISNews to fill me in!
