Library's storytime program is too popular

The Columbine Library (Littleton, Col.) is asking parents to bring their children to library storytimes only once a month because the library isn't large enough to handle the crowds. [Lakewood News?]

When I was a children's librarian, this happened quite a bit. I tried offering as many additional sessions as my supervisor would allow, and attendance stabilized at a higher level. But every so often I would be asked, "Can't you do fewer storytimes?" I suspected that management wanted me to spend more time on the (all-ages) reference desk instead.
