Shawn Ashmore as Ged?

I like Shawn Ashmore, but a white boy with a
pretty nose is seriously miscast as Ged.

I haven't actually read the books yet, they are on a long backlist. I saw the promos on SG-1's season premiere last Friday. Its a good excuse to get them read before December.

Don't these Hollywood suits read?! I mean, Le Guin just gave a speech at a publisher's breakfast where she talked about how many kids have written to her to thank her for making her characters other ethnicities.
