Alabama State's libraries get big boost in audio recording collections

An Anonymous Patron writes of this story from the Mobile Register....Alabama's public libraries will be getting about 87,000 compact discs later this month. The free music is the state's share of a settlement in a 2000 lawsuit that 43 states and U.S. territories filed against a group of record labels and retailers over an alleged price-fixing scheme in the 1990s."

Well, you could have gotten your very own check for $13.86.I'd rather my library just got the equivalent of the CD's in cash. Let them pick out what they need with the money.
