MA Town bans man from parks, libraries

A convicted sex offender was banned from town parks and Wake County libraries this week after he quizzed parents about their children.
Carlton Wood was convicted of taking indecent liberties with a child in the late 1980s in Mecklenburg County, police say.

I don't see this flying

OK the guy has to leave the park and library because he chatted with people. He has to leave his home because he was convicted of a crime decades ago.

It seems the man did his time, leave him alone until he commits another crime. Sure, keep an eye on him in the library or the park, but tossing him out because he is creepy is really not going to fly.

Not that I am pro-creepy or anything like that but you can't make things retroactive. If you ban one guy who was convicted of being a pervert from the park and library you have to ban them all.

Oh, and if I saw him even looking at a kid funny I would kick him in the gonads. I bet there would be a line of dads behind me to do it the next time too. Hope I can get LISNews on the computer in jail.

MA?

From the headline, this implies that this took place in Massachusetts. This is actually in Raleigh, NC and Charlotte, NC.
