But what are the answers behind it?
Who was the private meeting for? Are they paying for use of the library space?
Were there signs up saying the library was closing early and explaining why?
Would be typical if it was a civic reception to celebrate the library for example.
Even if it was library related
I wouldn't close the library early. Instead I would do it after hours, say after 5 on a Friday or Saturday.
I agree but
Often you can't do things out of hours as people have other things to do (both staff looking after the Library as well as any visitors, I've been in Libraries open later for a Library event who couldn't wait to get out after us!)
I just mean without knowing what the answers are you can't lay into them one way or another :)
