Library gets $5 million for RFID

While the rest of Palm Beach County is experiencing cuts and layoffs, the Palm Beach County Library System continues its growth. With a new branch opening this month and two more set to open next year, the trend of double-digit growth in circulation is expected to continue. The plan includes RFID tagging of library materials, conveyor belt sorting equipment, self-check equipment upgraded for RFID, and RFID security gates with people counters.
