Major problems with the review

It's not comparing like with like.
You can't just battle elements of the Nook against the Ipad without then doing a FULL list of everything that the iPad does that the Nook doesn't.

I personally think that if all you want is an ebook reader then you should be buying a Kindle or Nook etc. Wonderfully cheap for what they do, easy to use, portable, not too big.
For me though I never just want to read, I want everything else that the iPad does. I don't have one, but I will get the new version when it comes out.
