A future, maybe; the future, probably not.

Maybe that's the whole comment: As the future of magazines, a specialized tablet ereader strikes me as improbable. As a future for some readers and some magazines, it strikes me as plausible--along with pure e-mags (e.g. Slate and Salon) and, for millions of us, print magazines.
