The segment\’s producer, Warren Peters, referred questions to a publicist who could not be reached for comment.

City Librarian Rich Ashton reiterated the steps the library has taken to curb young computer users\’ access to X-rated sites.

The library requires an adult to accompany a youngster using a computer in the children\’s section of the library.

The Web pages also give those adults some options for filtering out sexually explicit sites.

But Ashton said the library has an obligation to the First Amendment\’s free speech provisions. He opposes placing restrictions of what sites adult library patrons choose to view.
