Jon Stewart, a comedian and host of highly regarded news parody show The Daily Show, has won the top literary prize for humour in the U.S.
Stewart, and fellow Daily Show writers David Javerbaum and Ben Karlin, won the 2005 Thurber Prize for American Humour for their book, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents America (The Book): A Citizen’s Guide to Democracy Inaction.
