Ah but...
It's not free.
Which is because it has been digitized by a private company for the BL and of course they need to make back their money/make a profit.
It is a massive bargain if you know you're going to need to access lots of pages for family history etc but it's not the same as it being freely available which seems to get missed in the publicity for this great scheme.
The newspaper collections that the BL has at Collindale (currently as it is all moving up to Boston Spa and the BL at St Pancras) is unbelieavbly amazing.
