Three major publishers said on Wednesday that they would allow their authors to access book sales data directly online, a move that appeared to challenge Amazon and its continued efforts to woo authors.

Transparency from Big Six publishers?
They must be ice-skating up a storm in Hades these days. Of course, there may be some authors very disappointed when "sales" numbers encounter returns numbers... still, this is a Very Big Step Forward.
