Power wanted to display a huge American flag at the Boulder (CO) library after 9/11, but was discouraged in doing so by former library director Marcelle Gralapp, whom Power deemed to be 'excessively politically correct'. During a budget crunch in 2003,Power, who wrote the library's master plan, found himself snubbed by library officials and ultimately out of a job.
