Interlibrary Loan Monitoring Story Smelling Fishy

from the curiouser-and-curiouser dept. There is now another version of cached page explaining that the UCSC story was bogus, and removed at the request of one of the professors mentioned in the story.

I was one step away from contacting the libraries directly. Although if you do visit their webpage you can see that they DO NOT ask for SSN on ILL forms. The form can be downloaded from the library website.This story has been all over every one of my library lists all day which is quite frustrating from a group of individuals that are more than capable of critical thinking and conducting research.
