Armed Man Shot While Attempting to Enter NC Public Library

WILMINGTON, NC -- A Wilmington, North Carolina, police officer shot a man downtown Thursday afternoon after police received a report of a “subject with a gun.”... According to New Hanover County Sheriff’s Lt. Jerry Brewer, the man being pursued apparently fled through the parking deck. When he attempted to run into the New Hanover County Public Library across Chestnut Street, he was stopped by a sheriff’s deputy who works there.
