22 Librarians paid more than governors

More than 77,000 federal government employees throughout the country — including computer operators, more than 5,000 air traffic controllers, 22 librarians and one interior designer — earned more than the governors of the states in which they work.

[Thanks Dan!]

Do I dare say: they're probably working harder than the governors and getting less benefits (both official and unofficial benefits).

Agree. I'm sure some governors work hard but do they have to deal with the public every day? Nope, that is what their underlings are for.

Also, governors get their airfare, business trips, personal cars, housing expenses, security staff, etc. all paid for by the taxpayers. That adds up to far more than what public librarians, police officers, firemen and others get paid.
